Mother's day 2017

May 14 is a day to spend time with your mother or wife and make her feel special. Calgary has a wide variety of events going on for mothers of all kinds, so you’re sure to find the perfect way to spend this day together.

1. Mother’s Day Brunch at the Fairmont Banff Springs

This brunch gives mothers several different options, including a social buffet in the Riverview lounge from 10 am to 2:30 pm, featuring a complimentary mimosa for adults and a carving station. From 11 am to 2 pm in the Waldhaus dining room there will be a more private option with an a la carte menu, or mothers and their children can come by for tea between 12 and 4 pm.

2. 2017 Mother’s Day Run, Walk, and Ride

This is a festival hosted by Sport Chek and is Calgary’s largest family fundraising event supporting the Calgary Health Trust and Jumpstart/Bon Départ. The event is a 5km loop that starts and finishes at the CF Chinook Centre. Register or stop by and participate as a runner, walker, cyclist, volunteer, sponsor, or spectator.

3. Mother’s Day Tea Party

The Foundry Room is hosting several Mother’s Day Tea Party Events with Jamberry nails and LuLaRoe. Have a girly afternoon getting your nails done and shopping for new clothes while enjoying tea, cupcakes, and sandwiches.

4. Mother’s Day at the Distillery

Mothers are in for a great time at the Distillery on Mother’s Day with a cocktails and ice cream pairing event, following the success of last year's chocolate and cocktails event. Head over for some local artisanal ice cream and great cocktails from 2 to 4 pm.

We had a lovely stay and enjoyed our room at Regency during our conference, the room was very clean, parking was great and the front desk was excellent. We even got a chance to use the exercise room! -Janet B.
