The annual Wordfest takes place from October 7th - 17th in Calgary.
The 21st annual Wordfest sparks “lively, illuminating and meaningful conversations between Calgary’s readers and the world’s most engaging writers.” The organization puts together year-round literary events and the 10-day festival every October to help inspire Calgarians to live more creative lives. At Wordfest, you’ll find workshops, readings, panel discussions and in-school presentations from authors writing in every genre and for all ages.

If you are a foodie, this event is for you! For an afternoon bursting with food and fun, join in on the Calgary Food Tours. During this tour, you’ll enjoy walking around a cool neighborhood on 17th Ave, discover fun things to do, and get a big dose of history, art, culture and really great food.
First, you’ll meet at Cibo and try their incredible pizza. Then, you’ll move onto French fare, Spanish tapas, and happy hour. And, of course there will be cocktails.

There’s nothing better than a timely ghost tour in the heart of Calgary! Visit Heritage Park after dark for a guided ghost tour through the streets of the Historical Village. The tour takes place select Wednesdays. These 90 minute outdoor walking tours will certainly have you spellbound! You’ll hear stories of ghostly encounters all throughout the Park - from one of the oldest buildings in the city to one of the most notorious for being haunted.
